Comprehensive Evaluations for the Families You Guide
Comprehensive Neuropsychological Evaluations for Educational Consultants in New York City
Your clients come to you for guidance on some of the most consequential decisions of their child's education. When a neuropsychological evaluation is part of that picture — and it often is — you need an evaluator whose work is thorough, whose reports are clear, and whose findings you can stand behind when presenting recommendations to families.
That's what we offer.
Dr. KC Bugg & Associates works closely with independent educational consultants throughout New York City to provide the diagnostic clarity that drives sound placement, programming, and accommodations decisions.

WHAT WE BRING TO YOUR WORK
Comprehensive Neuropsychological Evaluations for Educational Consultants in New York City
Comprehensive Diagnostic Clarity
Our evaluations go beyond a diagnosis. We provide a detailed picture of how a child thinks, learns, processes information, and performs under pressure — the kind of nuanced cognitive profile that informs real placement decisions rather than just confirming what you already suspected
Twice-Exceptional Expertise
Twice-exceptional learners are our specialty. We have deep experience evaluating children who are intellectually gifted and learning disabled, whose profiles are complex, and whose needs are frequently misunderstood by schools and other evaluators. If your client's child doesn't fit neatly into a category, we know how to find the full picture.
Accommodations Documentation
When your client needs documentation for school-based accommodations, College Board, ACT, or other testing organizations, our evaluations are written to meet those specific standards. We are familiar with the documentation requirements across all major platforms and write reports that hold up under review.
School Fit Clarity
A comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation can be the difference between a school placement that works and one that doesn't. We provide cognitive and learning profile data that help consultants make confident school-fit recommendations — including for specialized schools, therapeutic programs, and non-traditional settings.
Private School Accommodations Support
Many private schools in NYC have their own accommodations review processes that are more rigorous than a standard 504. Our evaluations are written with that standard in mind — thorough enough to satisfy even the most demanding school-based review committees.
Clear, Readable Reports
We write reports that families can actually understand and that you can present with confidence. Our reports are comprehensive without being impenetrable — clinically rigorous and accessible at the same time.
Adult ADHD & Neuropsychological Testing
Many adults discover in their 20s, 30s, or beyond that they're neurodivergent—ADHD, autistic, or have learning differences that explain lifelong experiences of thinking and processing differently. Our evaluations provide diagnostic clarity and access to accommodations that honor how your brain works.
We offer two types of adult ADHD evaluations:
Comprehensive Neuropsychological Evaluation (8 hours)
Full assessment for workplace accommodations, professional exam documentation, or comprehensive diagnostic clarity. Includes complete cognitive and achievement testing, attention and executive function measures, and detailed written report.
Abbreviated ADHD Testing (2 hours)
Focused evaluation for treatment planning and medication management. Includes clinical interview, ADHD rating scales, and diagnostic report with treatment recommendations. Not appropriate for accommodation requests.
Which evaluation is right for you?
We'll help you determine this during your free consultation.
We also evaluate adults for:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis
Workplace accommodations (ADA)
Executive functioning differences
Learning differences affecting work or graduate school
Memory and cognitive concerns
Diagnostic clarity for treatment planning
Common reasons adults seek evaluation:
💭 "I've always struggled with organization and focus, but thought everyone did."
💭 "I'm successful, but everything takes me twice as long as it should."
💭 "My child was just diagnosed with ADHD, and I see myself in the symptoms."
💭 "I've always felt different socially, and recently learned about autism in adults."

WHAT SETS US APART
Why Educational Consultants Refer to Us
We speak your language.
We understand the NYC private school landscape, the specialized school ecosystem, and the nuances of twice-exceptional learners that make placement decisions genuinely complex. You won't need to explain the context — we already know it.
We are thorough.
Our evaluations are comprehensive by design. We don't cut corners on testing time, and our reports reflect the full complexity of each child's profile. When you present our findings to a family or a school, you can stand behind them.
We communicate with you.
With family authorization, we are happy to discuss findings directly with referring consultants before the report is finalized — so you're not waiting until the family feedback session to understand our findings.
We cover specialized and therapeutic placements.
If a child's needs point toward a specialized private school, a therapeutic day program, or a non-traditional setting, we know how to document that compellingly — including when the DOE should be funding it.
We have two NYC locations.
Flatiron District and Astoria, Queens — accessible to families across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and beyond.
